Liman Restaurant is a traditional Black Sea fish diner, located near the Yesilcay River. This spot is also the starting point of Kilimli walking trail. Since 1976 Hacı Ramazan and Huseyin Yazici owned the place along with the Liman Fishery located right next to the restaurant. As long as the sea is suitable for fishing, Liman Restaurant offers a wide variety of the local fish found in the Black Sea.

What to Eat?

Side dishes are delicious, but they are proud of their fried calamari and shrimp in butter. Contrary to the restaurants in Istanbul that change their menu options, and operations frequently, the Liman Restaurant is very reputable in offering a consistent menu.

When the fishing season opens, several options are available to you. From September to November you can find tunny fish, bluefish, small bluefish, red mullet, black sea and cod fish. From March to May Agva’s local bothus is plentiful. Between March and August shish kebab, leer fish shish, sword fish shish are also available for you to try. Bonito Lakerda is also a specialty of the restaurant.

Side dishes include eggplant salad, acılı ezme (hot spicy tomato dip), haydari (thick yogurt with garlic and dill), red pepper, pickled beets, pilaki (cold white beans vinaigrette), mushroom salad, eggplants with yogurt, eggplants with tomato sauce, green beans with olive oil.
